You have just been transferred to Briarwood Center to take over overnight facilities operations
for an aging corporate campus. The building is new to you. The night crew is not.
Keep the building running until morning. Manage your crew, respond to work orders,
control costs, and try not to leave too much for day shift.
You have three technicians, a limited budget, and one shift to get through.

OPERATOR ORIENTATION
HOW THE SHIFT WORKS
TIME1 TURN = 15 MINUTES.
Every investigation, punt, and dispatch decision advances the shift.
INVESTIGATE
Costs 1 turn. It may solve the problem immediately,
shorten the repair, change the required specialty, or simply confirm something useless.
DISPATCH
Choose a technician, then send them. They remain unavailable until the listed number
of turns expires. Skill match and judgment matter.
PUNT TO DAY SHIFT
Pass an open work order to the morning crew. Sometimes this is smart.
Sometimes the problem gets worse. Day shift also remembers.
YOUR CREW ELEC / HVAC / GEN / MECH = technical skill. JUDG = likelihood of making a good decision when the problem is unclear. SPEED = technician pace. TRUST = how willing they are to keep following your lead.
SHIFT METRICS BUILDING CONDITION tracks the facility. CREW MORALE tracks your people. MANAGEMENT CONFIDENCE tracks whether Corporate thinks you know what you're doing. BUDGET is exactly what it sounds like.
